Delivery drivers wanted, to help deliver and pickup lightweight wheelchairs and home health equipment to clients across Toronto. This is an essential service that will allow you to work part time, independently, while earning income. Your own vehicle (van or larger) is required.

How it works

  1. Apply to work with us. Successful applicants will be provided with access to the software tools required to do the job
  2. Each day, check your schedule to see the deliveries and pickups assigned to you. Deliveries and pickups are time sensitive, and need to be completed within a specific window of time. The two shifts we typically work are 8 AM – 11:30 AM, and 4 PM – 8:30 PM.
  3. Complete your assigned deliveries and/or pickups, within the required time window.
  4. Get paid twice a week for completed delivery and pickup jobs

Job Description

As a Medical Equipment Delivery Driver, you are primarily responsible for:

  • Moving home medical equipment (mainly wheelchairs) from our main base, to customer residences,
  • Demonstrating the correct use of a wheelchair, and
  • Picking up wheelchairs from clients for return to main base

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver home health equipment to homes across Toronto
  • Complete pre delivery/ pickup inspection of heath equipment
  • Complete safety orientation and equipment setup with clients on delivery
  • Pick up health equipment from various locations for return to main base
  • Complete drop off and pick up of equipment within pre-determined time windows 
  • Drive in a safe, courteous, and defensive manner 
  • Portray a positive and professional image to the public and customers

 

Requirements (Must have)

  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Cell phone with data plan
  • Familiarity with Ontario traffic laws and safe driving practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work split shifts (mornings and evenings) as well as weekends
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and deliveries.
  • Ability to handle, secure, and transport items safely and securely.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, building valets, and others
  • Suitable for an existing rideshare or delivery driver with excess capacity
