Rental mobility scooter overview

Highly reliable and made to roam

Our mobility scooters are ideal for individuals who want an independent and comfortable way to get around. These scooters are perfect for long outings, attending appointments, or traveling when walking long distances might not be practical.

Designed with portability and convenience in mind, many models are lightweight, foldable, and compact, making them easy to transport and store. They can be quickly disassembled or folded to fit into the trunk of a car, and setup can be completed in just a few minutes.

(For situations where portability is less critical and a larger, more robust option is preferred, we recommend exploring full-size mobility scooters or power wheelchairs.)

Mobility scooter measurements and weight

Lightweight Design: Weighing on average just 49 pounds without the battery, our scooters are relatively easy to handle and transport. It accommodates users weighing up to 300 pounds.

Compact and Portable: The mobility scooters we rent have the ability to disassemble quickly into lightweight pieces for easy storage in the trunk of a car or a closet.

Dimensions: On average, this scooter measures about 42.5 inches in length, 21.5 inches in width, and 36 inches in height, providing a compact and practical design suited for various environments. The seat height typically ranges from 17 to 19 inches from the ground, ensuring comfort and accessibility for most users. Its components are lightweight and easy to disassemble, making transportation and storage hassle-free, with parts that fit conveniently into the trunk of a car.

Mobility scooter rental accessories included, with extras available

Our mobility scooter rentals come equipped with every standard option you need to fully enjoy the scooter. Ask your friendly Mobility Help Representative about other accessories available on demand, such as lockboxes, gloves, cushions, and other optional accessories that will make your time with the scooter even more enjoyable.

What are the mobility scooter seats made from?

Our mobility scooters typically feature two types of seat materials. One possible but lesser used option is a durable and supportive padded seat with a fabric cover that is both comfortable and easy to clean.

However, most models actually come with a seat made of easy-clean vinyl, which offers a smooth, wipeable surface for added convenience. You may receive either option, as both are equally comfortable and well-suited for everyday use on mobility scooters.

Before you rent a mobility scooter

Access to electricity

Before booking a mobility scooter, it’s important to consider the terrain you’ll be navigating and the availability of electricity during your rental period. Different terrains, such as uneven paths, grass, or gravel, may require specific scooter features to ensure a smooth and safe ride. Alternately, some types of terrain just will not be suitable for a mobility scooter. Think carefully ahead, and ask us anything; we’ll try to clarify for you before you book. Additionally, since mobility scooters run on rechargeable batteries, you’ll need reliable access to an electrical outlet to recharge as needed.

To make this easier, we provide a charger with every rental, so you can keep your scooter powered throughout your rental.
