We provide transport wheelchair rental and delivery to all parts Scarborough, Toronto, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Markham, Richmond Hill, and more. Transport wheelchair rentals start at $55, for any period that is five days or less (one month is $105).
We'll deliver your transport chair to your location or you can pick it up from our Scarborough location.
Transport wheelchairs are thoroughly sterilized, & mechanically maintained on a regular schedule.
Your transport wheelchair come with everything needed for safety and comfort. Everything is included.
Our transport wheelchairs are ideal when the wheelchair user will be pushed by someone else. This can include events where it may be required after a long day, or for attending appointments, or travelling.
It is the lightest wheelchair model available, and as such it is designed for portability, with a light weight, easy folding capability, and small size when folded. It easily stows into the trunk of a car, and is able to be set up and broken down in a matter of mere seconds.
(For cases where the wheelchair user also needs the option to be able to propel themselves, we would recommend a manual wheelchair instead.)
Weight: Our typical transport chair weights less than 20, pounds, and is able to accommodate users weighing up to 220 pounds (though ~180 lbs or so is the max we suggest for best comfort)
Measurement: For seat widths, we have transport wheelchairs available in widths of 17 inches, and 19 inches. We can help you choose the best width for your unique situation.
Seat height: On average, there is about 18 inches of height between the transport chair seat, and the ground. If necessary, for your convenience we can adjust the height between the seat and the ground, on some models.
Our transport wheelchairs come equipped with footrests as a standard option. These composite footrests provide the needed support for the wheelchair users legs while in transit. Ask your friendly Mobility Rentals Representative about other accessories available on demand, such as cushions, and gloves.
We have two types of seats. The more common is a type of washable nylon that is able to retain its strength and support wheelchair users. It is washable (and regularly washed). Some of our other chairs have a seat that is made of a easy clean vinyl. You may receive either, they are equally comfortable and appropriate for use on a transport wheeelchair.
We deliver to multiple locations in the GTA. Outside of Toronto, we can deliver transport chair rentals to Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Newmarket Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, and Oshawa. For most locations, next day delivery applies. Ask us about same day delivery, we will try our best to accommodate your needs!
The longer you rent, the more you will save. Pricing starts at a “5 days or less” flat rate, and goes up in convenient tiers, from there.
If you start at one tier, you can simply pay the difference to extend to the next tier.

Try a tilt wheelchair, it may meet your need.
It helps to know the width of the wheelchair users widest point. This is usually around the hip area. The reason you may want to know this is because the size of the wheelchair seat we may recommend will depend on the size of the wheelchair user. For the most part we have chairs available to fit a range of sizes.
Each wheelchair is designed to accommodate a specific amount of weight. While we do not need always need to know the wheelchair users exact weight, it will be helpful to you to know that most basic transport chairs have a comfortable weight limit of no more than 200 pounds. We usually recommend using another chair when a user is over 180 – 200 lbs, depending on their build. Sometimes the 19 inch transport chair can accommodate a little more weight than 180 – 200 lbs, but the comfort of the wheelchair user always comes first in determining the best size.
When a wheelchair user requires more support than the basic transport chair would provide, we would recommend looking at the bariatric transport chair, or even a manual wheelchair. Bariatric transport chairs are designed to hold quite a bit more weight, and as a result can be used by a wi der range of wheelchair users. Manual wheelchairs are a bit more sturdy and may provide better support once user weight goes over 180 – 200 lbs.
